Random Things...

Last week I had a basketball tournament. It was at this school called OBR. It stands for Obdyke-Bellrive. It's a very small school and they have a horrible gym floor! The entire game I was just slipping and sliding EVERYWHERE! I wish our gym floor at Summersville had a wooden floor. Those are the best kinds of floors because you don't slip and slide all over the place! I think our school is supposed to gt one in a few years. I heard they are going to dedicate it to the president of the Booster Club. Which I think is a very good idea because she was a really good person and a hardworker.
Anyway, this week has been really boring so far! For the last two days I've had basketball practice everyday after school and we're going to have it again tomorrow after school! Then on Thursday we have an away game at Bethel/McClellen. It's going to be a tough game and we shouldn't over look them. We tend to do that a lot with teams we think aren't very good. But I've think we've learned our lesson with that! Our first game we played St. Mary's and we didn't play to our full potential. This is what our coach says if we don't play very god and we could've played A LOT better! The same thing happened last week when we played Bluford and OBR. The OBR game was definitely not pretty! But on Thursday night of last week we played I think our best game of the season! We won, but I forgot by how much. We did awesome against them! However on Friday night we played fairly well but we still lost. =( We only lost by 11 though! To be honest though they aren't a very good team. We are much better than them, but they just seem to get inside our heads whenever we play them. They are tall but we are fast and quick. We could've easily beat them but we couldn't make a shot and we soooo many turnovers! I think we had 30! That is way too many! I think we need to have at least 15 or less turnovers a game!
Next week we have our annual Summersville Shootout! I love this time of the year! I always have a good time! This year the girls play Goreville. I really hope we win! Last year we won our shootout, but we had some excellent players back then! But I don't think anybody should count us out of the game just yet! We have some really great players, even though we lost some. As of right now the girls team is 5-1! We just lost our most recent game. =( It was the championship game for the OBR tournament and we were playing against Woodlawn. But next time we play them we are going to crush them like bugs! =) These are pretty much the most random things I can think of at the moment! =)

My Hopes and Dreams

My hopes and dreams for the future are big but I will never give up in believing that they can come true. The first and foremost thing that I want to finish and accomplish is getting a college degree. I don't know for sure what college I want to go to yet but I'm really hoping for the University of Southern California. My interest right now is to become a marine biologist. I know that this might change, I 've already changed it about 15 times! But this is what interests me most right now and I'm going to do whatever it takes to make this dream come true! After I get out of college I am going to travel the world. But I mainly want to go to Europe. I don't know why I like Europe so much but I just do. It seems so interesting. I'm originally from Ireland, like my ancestors not me, and I wish to go there first. I am going to backpack through Ireland and live in County Cavin. This is where my ancestors are from. Then I'm going to London to live in the heart of the city! I love city life! The busyness of it, the quick and fast paced feel of walking through the streets with hundreds of other people! Then I am going to live in other parts of Europe like Italy, Greece, Germany, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Sweden. I'll probably go to more countries but these are just the main ones. Then I'm going to go to Africa and visit all the sick and poor. I feel terrible that the people in Africa have to go through such hard times. Then I'm going to go to India. I don't know why this country fascinates me but it just does. Then I'm going to go to Australia and scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef. Next I'm going to New Zealand. I love their accents! Finally the last two parts of the world I'm going to are Canada and the Caribbean. I think the Caribbean is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Sometime in my life I want to sail around the world or just a part of it. It would be dangerous but exciting and exilerating! These are just a few of my hopes and dreams!

CHICAGO!!!!

In less than one month I get to go to CHICAGO!!! My uncle Rob invited my family and I to Chicago for the weekend! It's a celebration of their marriage. See, they got married 2 months ago in Laguna Beach, California! They invited all their family members to clebebrate with them. I am so excited about going Chicago also! On Saturday we get to go to dinner and dancing in the evening. I'm not really sure what we get to do in the afternoon but I'm sure it's going to be fun! Then on Sunday we get to go to their house for brunch! They just built a new house in Chicago and I hear it has 5 or 6 bedrroms and 4 or 5 baths!! I mean it's HUGE!!!! Anyway that weekend is going to be soo much fun! And on top of that I get to see my cousin! I haven't seen her in FOREVER!!! But I literally cannot wait for that weekend! It's going to be fun!

My Life Goals

I have many life goals. But my main 2 goals are to swim with dolphins and travel the world. Though my main goal is to travel the world. There are many places I wish to go and hope to go. My first stop would be to go to Ireland. First I would go with my family for a week or two. But then I would want to go and experience Ireland for about 6 months. What I think would really be fun is to backpack through parts of Ireland or maybe even through all of it. And I do realize how much money this would cost to do (about $10,000 to $12,000). That's why I want to start saving up all of my money. But once I get over there and decide to stay in one place I'll of course get a job. I will probably go over and stay for a few months, earn some money, then go backpacking. The next place I want to go is all over Europe. However I would probably start in the United Kingdom. I want to go to London and spend about a month just in London then go to some more big cities throughout the United Kingdom. (By the way, I wish to spend about 2 years in Europe just so you know.) Next I will probably go to Either Poland or Germany but I definately want to go to both. I just don't know which one first, though I guess it doesn't really matter. Anyway I will spend about a few weeks to a month in both Poland and Germany. I really want to go to the Holocaust Museum in Poland. It's supposed to be the biggest Holocaust Museum in the world! I also want to visit some of the concentration camps in Germany and Czech Slovakia. Although this would be REALLY sad! But I want to learn more about the victims of the Holocaust so what better way to do it than to see how they lived their lives in these horrible places. Then I want to live in Switzerland and the Netherlands for a few months. Then I want to go to Paris, France and visit the Eiffel Tower. I want to live here for about a month or less. Then I want to go down to Spain and Portugal for a month or 2. Then I want to live in Rome, Italy for a few months. Experience it like they do. Live like they do. Breathe the air they do. Then I want to backpack through the Alps even though that probably would be dangerous, I think it would be a once in a lifetime experience. Then I want to go to all the other countries in Europe and just live there for a few weeks at a time. The next place I want to go is Africa. I want to be able to help the less fortunate there in whatever way I can. Like Albert Einstein said " A life lived for others is a life worth living". And I think this is very true. Here I want to spend about 6 to 8 months traveling through Africa. Then I want to go to India and Nepal. I have no reason for wanting to go here except for wanting to see Mt Everest. And being able to climb some of it. Definately not all of it! That would take a LONG time! Next place I want to go is  Bejing, China and Hongkong, China. I've only seen it on TV but it looks absolutely beautiful and full of life. That's what I love about the city. Full of life! I also want to go to Tokyo, Japan. This place I have only seen in pictures but it looks beautiful as well. Then I want to go down to Australia and stay there for about 6 to 7 months. I want to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef. I think this would be an amazing experience, especially for me because I absolutely love the water. Then I want to go to all the Hawaiian islands. Next I move down to South America into Argentina and Brazil. Then I'm going to go to Canada and stay there for only a few weeks. Then I'm going back down to the Caribbean as my last stop. However I want to stay here for quite some time and be able to see all the islands, like Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Here I want to be able to stay for about 7 to 8 months traveling around to the different islands but only on a boat. Oh, that reminds me. Sometime in my life I want to travel probably only half way across the world on a boat. I think this would be so fun. To be able to just stay on a boat for a while and just see nothing but the ocean and sea life beneath you. But before I do this I want to learn how to scuba dive. My friend, Kaitlyn, says it's so much fun and it's like your in a whole other world. I want to experience this before I do anything in my life like travel the world. As some of you may know, or maybe no one knows, I love the water. Any kind of water. A pool, stream, river, lake, ocean. ANYTHING that has to do with water I love! That's why I want to become a marine biologist and help some of the endangered species living in the polluted water that we all helped create. I hope that our world can help prevent making endangered species and even animals that aren't endangered, extinct. That is what I hope to accomplish when I become a marine biologist. I know I won't be able to stop all of the distruction of the waters and animals but I hope to diminish some of it.

My Day

Today was a good day! It started out by me finally getting the book I've been waiting for all summer! It's called Mockingjay, but it's the last book in the series and that makes me sad! I wish she would make more! Anyway, the rest of my day went great! I didn't have any homework in all my subjects! In science we did an experiment where you put something in a shoe box, tape it and people shake it and try to figure out what's in it. Nobody guessed mine! That's what I was trying to accomplish though! Everybody either guessed mascara, toothpaste, or contact solution! They were way off! I told them it was a cup. You see my science teacher told us it had to be something you use everyday, i was going to put a book in it, but I thought that would be too easy! so I put a cup in it. Actually it was my mom's idea. After school I went to my friend Kailyn's house and we went exploring through the fields behind her house. It was fun. And she brought her Holga camera that she got from Urban Outfitters. It's really cool because it's one of those old timey camers's that  take only film. It's pretty cool. After we where there for like an hour we went to the movies to see Vampires Suck. It was soooooo hilarious!!!! It's like this movie that makes fun of the twilight saga but it's not like anything mean. It's like one of those movies that make fun of superheroes or other movies. It was soo funny! And some of the characters actually lookes like some of the real characters from the actual movie. But it only had Twilight and New Moon. It didn't even have Eclipse or Breaking Dawn! I mean I understand why Breaking Dawn wan't apart of it because it han't even cme out yet. But Eclipse! I mean that came out early this summer! I was kinda dissapointed about that part but the rest was funny! It was like a stupid kind of funny though, not a comedy kind of funny. But that makes it even better! That's pretty much how my day went! =)

You know what really bugs me? Is when some people don't keep an open mind about things! I mean you have the right to your own opinion! This is like my number one pet peeve. I think some people don't want to have an open mind about some things and it really bugs me when people try to change my beliefs to match there own. I don't think that's right. I mean if I don't try to change your beliefs, then why do you keep trying to change mine? I don't think that's right. Another pet peeve of mine is when people are judgemental. I believe you should accept people for who they are. Take gay people for example. Some people I know judge them just because they are gay! I think that is very, very wrong. But that's my own belief. And even though I disagree with his/her belief, I still accept it. I would never want to judge people for who they are or the way they act. Some people can't help who they are. Some people, in order to feel better, have to put others down. That's how most people my age are. They want others to laugh with them not at them. Some people aren't brave enough to stand up to them and be the one laughed at. It's hard at first. I've learned it doesn't come easy being brave and standing up to some of your best friends and telling them that this is what I believe and this is how I feel. I've learned that they don't always agree with you and they DO have they're own beliefs and I want to accept that but it's hard. However, I try my best to accept it anyway, even if I don't agree with what they are saying. I come from a liberal family who tries to accept people for who they are. We know we can't change it, so we accept instead.

Boating on Sunday

Today I went boating for the 3rd time. Boating will never get old to me! I love it that much! =) Anyway, today we went to Kinkaid Lake.(When I say we I mean my friends Kaitlyn and Bethanie) We had a lot of fun! We went cliff jumping a lot! But we didn't go really high until the last jump and we fell from like 35 feet! It was soo fun! We were there for about 30 minutes. Then we had a picnic on one of the peninsulas and we had a view that was over looking the lake. It was so pretty. Then we went waterfall cimbing. This was kinda hard because some parts were kinda slippery. I only fell twice though, which is pretty good for me because I'm usually really clumsy!=) We went all the way to the bottom, which is really far. At the bottom there was a swamp and I think there was an alligator in there but I didn't actually see it. On the way up I slipped and fell on my butt and it hurt! Anyway after we went waterfall climbing we were going to go water skiing but we couldn't because there were too many people in the boat. =( But we ot to go cliff jumping again, so that was a good thing! =) This is where we went kinda high. I think we went close to 40 feet but i didn't really feel like it. There was this one girl that was really scared and she wouldn't go. I felt kinda bad for her. Then there was this little boy who was scared to jump from 10 feet in the air! I felt really bad for him because he was only about 7 years old. So Bethanie, Kaitlyn, and I decided to jump with him to make him feel braver. But it took him a while to inally jump. That was about how our day went. It was long but fun day!

Adam Sevani

Adam Sevani is soo cute!!! He plays Moose in Step Up 3. He is my favorite character in the movie and my favorite person in the world!! He also played in Step Up 2. This is another movie that i really like, but really only because he was in it! =) I am like obsessed with Adam Sevani! My friend has a whole wall dedicated to him! I haven't gotten there yet, but i will someday! I love him sooo much!!! And he is such a good dancer!! I wish I could dance like they could! But sadly I can't. =( I could take lessons for the rest of my life and still not be as good as him! It's like they say "he's born from a boom box!" Or as i like to call it "BFABB". I wish soo bad that i could be born from a boom box! But only the great ones are!

This Weekend

This weekend my friend Kaitlyn and I went to see Step Up 3D!!!! It was sooo good!!! Adam Sevani, who is Moose in the movie, is sooo cute! Me and Kaitlyn are practically obsessed with him! Here is a picture of him! Wouldn't you be obsessed with him? I mean look at him!! He is sooooo cute!!!!! I love him sooooo much!!!! Anyway...after the movie i went back to her house and we had a sleepover. We watched Step Up 2. This movie isn't as good as Step Up 3. Okay if you haven't seen Step Up 3 yet, you have to see it!!!! It is AWESOME!!!!!!!! It is now one o my favorite movies of all time! It might be my favorite. Well it's up there with Legally Blonde! I love that movie! Not only because it's good, but it has a good meaning to it. Blondes can do anything a brunette can do or a red head. We're not all dumb! Anyway, when we got up we went swimming in her pool. Her pool is really nice and big and it has a volleyball net and slide! I wish I had a pool like hers sooo badly! Then we went for a bike ride to a creek that we always go to. It's really fun there. You can like climb on the rocks. It's riminds me of when we went waterfall cimbing at Kinkaid Lake! Good times, good times! =) But back to the creek. Kaitlyn lost one of her shoes while she was standing in the water! It was kinda funny but i felt bad because it just kept drifting off and she kept trying to get it but failed every time. So she had to let her other shoe go, too. Then rode back to her house and swam the rest of the time. That is pretty much how my weekend went. =) =)

Levi Ross

My dogs name is Levi Ross. He is the cutest thing in the world! However my mom makes fun of me because I love on him so much and call him gorgeous. But I can't help it if those things are true! Anyway he is a very people dog and loves to play, however he also like to lay in your lap and take a nice little at nap. He has a cousin named Bentley.A few days ago my sister brought him over because she was staying at our house for the weekend. Levi and Bentley had a good ol' time =) They ran around the living room forever! They were going in circles so fast I got dizzy! Anyway that's just a little bit about my dog Levi Ross! =) =) =)
